McFarlane Toys’ first series of action figures was based on The Beatles’ 1968 animated film Yellow Submarine celebrating the film’s 30th-anniversary release in 1999. It became one of the best-selling McFarlane series of all time, immensely popular with collectors and Beatles fans alike.

Series 1 features John, Paul, George, and Ringo dressed in their Yellow Submarine costumes from the film. Each Beatle was packaged with a secondary character from the film, giving consumers two figures for the price of one. These are becoming rare now and hard to find in good condition.
